One-ish.

- How did you get into cosplaying?
Actually, my crazy nuthead cousin showed me cosplayers on youtube. I have always loved being in costume so naturally my first response was, "oh, I want to do that."

- What was your first convention and how did it go?
My first convention was Animation Supercon in 2009 (thisyearlulz). I never had the money to go to any others due to family issues and so once I was out on my own and had time and money to make a costume, I was finally able to go. And it was amazing!

- How many cons have you been to?
One

- How many cosplays have you done?
I've cosplayed Demyx, but I actually have three cosplays completed, those being Demyx, Axel, and Amu (from Shugo Chara).


[[Your Cosplays]]

- What was your first cosplay and why did you choose it?
Demyx! . I love Kingdom Hearts, and Demyx seemed like the perfect character for me. He's just always been my favorite.

- What is your favorite cosplay you've done so far?
As much as I love Demyx, my favorite cosplay I have made is Axel. I still don't like the wig that much but I put time into it and I think it came out well for it being on the second wig I ever styled.

- What is your least favorite you've cosplayed?
None!

- What cosplay is the most uncomfortable?
Demyx, because that coat in the the Florida heat is horrible.


[[Process]]

- How do you research the cosplay before you make it?
If I don't really know the character that well, I'll look up their basic information so I know enough about them to be in character at times, also plenty of reference pictures. With Amu, I didn't really look up so much because I knew what her outfit looked like, and how she acted, but that's mostly from watching the anime. I also like to watch a few espidoes of the anime or play the game the character is coming from.

- Do you sew your cosplays yourself?
YES. and no. It depends the day, and the sewing machine. It does not like to behave. So sometimes my fiance sews them XD. But yes, so far they're all handmade.

- If so, how did you learn to sew? If not, do you plan to learn?
I took a course. Haha.

- Do you make your own props?
I have none, but I plan on making most of them.

- Do you style your own wigs?
Yes.

- What other skills do you use to create your cosplays?
My awesomeness. Just kidding. I use family members, because I'm not all that talented at sewing, and I have no idea how to make props. But I have family into woodworking and people that have made stuff similar who have offered to help.

- What skill has been most useful for making your cosplay?
Patience!

- What is the hardest thing when making a cosplay?
Depends on the cosplay. For some I'd say wig styling, and others making you're own pattern for the costume.

- What was the biggest screw up you've had making a cosplay?
I had my organization coat completely together and the hood was too small so it had to be completely redone. I also have to completely restyle my Demyx wig due to the fact it was knocked around during travel.

- How often do you injure yourself while making a cosplay?
Anytime I have to use a sharp object.

- Do you try to stay cheap or do you splurge on materials?
I work two jobs, so I don't always go for the cheapest thing if I really think something else would work between, but at times for the small parts I'll go cheaper to save money so I can splurge on another detail.

- Have you ever cosplayed with a partner or group?
I cosplayed with my cousin, sort of. We were there together, but cosplaying completely different things.

- Do you try to act in character?
Yea, I think it makes it more fun.

- Have you ever done fanservice at a con? (Yaoi, yuri, etc)
Nope, because I've only gone to a con with my cousin. Talk about awkward. Would I? Depends. Some of it might not be on purpose, because most of my planned cosplays are guys and my fiance doesn't want to cosplay females! xD.

- How do you react to cosplayers dressed as character from the same anime/game/etc?
Hasn't happened yet. But depending on the characters personality, I would either just acknowledge it, wave and take a picture, or fangirl haha.

- Do you try to duplicate your character's expressions, walk, movements, etc?
Depends on if I feel like it.

- When crossplaying, do you try to act as much like the gender as possible?
Yea. It's easy because I tend to hang out with mostly guys anyway, so I can remember to act like a guy. Sometimes I forget though.

- What was your funniest experience of acting in character?
I really don't think I've had one.

- What was your worst experience acting in character?
Well, people insulted my mullet >.>

Nah, .

NO!!! haha.

I think skits, but like actualy skits not getting-up-on-stage-and-dancing skits.

A couple, I haven't been to many cons yet.
